What's that smell?

Our 10th PurpleAir Quality monitor is now online! Thank you to the home and business owners who are helping track air quality in Carbon County (the PurpleAir Quality monitor at Alpina Ski Shop in Kidder Township isn't pictured). The PA-DEP is more responsive to complaints when the air quality monitor readings are included. If you notice a toxic or foul odor outside, go to https://map.purpleair.com/air-quality-standards-us-epa... and look at the readings. If you see orange, red, or purple dots nearby, look at the numbers; if the numbers are higher than 100, there is an air quality event. You can provide the color and the number indicated when reporting the air quality event to the PA-DEP at (866) 255-5158 or online at https://www.pa.gov/agencies/dep/report-incidents-and-complaints.html.
