Given the worsening drought, how can residents and data centers co-exist? We must show up at the Penn Forest Zoning Ordinance hearing at Penn's Peak this Tuesday, February 24th, at 5:30 PM (the hearing begins at 6 PM, and we are expecting a full house).
“Our state legislators have expressed concern that we need to do something to protect people and the environment, and I would wholeheartedly agree. But the best thing, the thing that needs to be done right now is call for a moratorium” (quote credited to Ginny Marcille-Kerslake, a senior organizer with Food & Water Watch and member of the West Whiteland Township Planning Commission.)
And just like that... a few days after the quote and interview were published in the Chestnut Hill Local, a cosponsor memorandum for a data center moratorium bill was released. It's up to you to take action now to get this moving by contacting your Pennsylvania State Senator and asking for their support of a Moratorium on Data Center Development. You can find your Legislator here.
